He’s not disconnected, he’s not “failing to read the room”, etc. He’s doing his job, just like he’s always done. He’s there to make sure that “left” party doesn’t fuck around and actually get something done for working class people.
Let’s be honest, he’s outlived his ability to be an effective leader. He’s also a big AIPAC recipient who stated his job is to support Israel. He’s also made really bad compromises with Republicans where he gives up the farm for something kind of stupid. It’s time.
