Jon Stewart will remain at the helm of Comedy Central’s “The Daily Show” through December 2028, extending his once-a-week hosting role through the next presidential election.
Skydance announced the two-year extension on Monday, resolving uncertainty about Stewart’s contract, which was due to expire in December.
The new deal means one of television’s most prominent critics of Donald Trump is staying in place for the rest of Trump’s term.
I’m glad to see Josh Johnson in the hosting rotation lately. For those who don’t know, he also releases a live, fresh, topical stand-up routine every Tuesday night on his YouTube channel. Idk how he can churn that out while traveling in between appearances on TDS. He must just love doing it.
Oh, my gosh, some of the lines when he delivers them have me just about crying I’m laughing so hard. I cannot remember the specific example, I think it was one of the correspondent ones vs. when he was the host. But yeah, that guy is a real talent.
I’ve watched some of his YT content, too.
