    “No. CNN’s poll numbers are fake, your whole outfit is fake and so are you,” he declared.

    The word “outfit” usually means a set of clothes. In this case Trump used it to mean the entire news organization and the reporter herself. The personal jab landed hard.

    If that’s unbelievable to the author, there’s no reason to listen to them.

    He’s said a lot worse shit.

      Even worse, outfit absolutely can mean an organisation or team. It’s not even an obscure definition.

      He is constantly making a fool out of himself, there isn’t any reason to make stuff up. It lets republicans scoff and go on a diatribe about “liberal media”. Shoddy journalism when it comes to trump is right wing fodder. They should do better.

      I’m pretty sure he was just insulting her clothes. His vocabulary is at the 5th grade level, at best.
