Well, three cheers for the anti-intellectuals and the conspiracy theorists that got us here.

    🤦

Huh? They’re not anti intellectuals. Do your research /s

Obviously the 10 mins they spend on Facebook listening to a health guru who sells vitamin c tablets and self help books is equivalent to 5 years of medical school and a PhD.

It’s definitely not their fault. Trump assures us it’s “the radical lefties”

The largest outbreak since the disease was eliminated is like the largest attack since the ceasefire started. Both are real headlines that I’ve seen this year.

Given that this is usually part of the MMR vaccine, I am wondering if there is an increase in cases of mumps/rubella?

As someone living in the epicenter with a 4 month old, its important to remember babies couldn’t be vaccinated against measles til 1 year, and it was moved to a small dose at 6 months then another at 1 year because of this.

The spread was caused by the selfish parents of unvaccinated kids. But let’s feel some sympathy for the kids who had no choice in the matter and for the babies not old enough to receive it. The latter would be included in that percentage number.

And also let’s feel anger at the fucking idiots in charge leading this stupid anti science movement and the morons without enough brain cells to see that its a grift and put their kids at risk

Yes. This is exactly why it’s so infuriating. Idiotic and contrarian and selfish parents putting their own kids at risk over bullshit on the Internet, and now bullshit at the very height of our so-called government.

Also putting other people at risk - people that are unable to get vaccinated for whatever reason.

These should not even be problems that we are even having if we were properly propagating information to younger generations. It’s like some of the population is looking at great leaps forward in tech, in science, in morality, meanwhile, we have a huge set of people that just want to constantly drag things backwards.

You can see this kind of diversion in humanity most keenly in things like responses to disease. Covid was an excellent example that brought this into sharp relief - you had people amazed at the moonshot of sequencing the genome of the virus in short order and developing a vaccine in record-setting time with new tech - mRNA vaccines. This was an outstanding example of humans achieving great things when they apply themselves.

And on the other hand - you had Karens throwing riots over not being able to go to church or restaurants. Over masks. And finally, over getting the vaccine. Also, many of them really want to put Fauci to death.

The response to measles is nearly as bad - this is something that was basically a solved problem. No moonshot necessary; it was solved decades ago. But nooooo - the regressives cannot have that.

This is tragic and the result of indoctrination, not understanding reality and lies spread as truth. Use higher thinking skills and Sagan’s baloney kit to see the quack “health advice” and how it adds up to billions spent on junk, rather than spending on real healthcare, higher quality foods and less junk. But nah, just stay in denial, numb with junk food and the tribal safety. Some people reach the stage that differing ideas can be valid, but don’t proceed to reach higher levels, to analyze and weigh proven data, to see what’s healthy vs what was indoctrination. It’s ok, help is out there to leave the unhealthy beliefs and join others that don’t have the conditional belonging of unhealthy systems.
