Inspired by female conservative influencers, Amy Dangerfield worked to become one of Nick Fuentes’s model “groypettes.” A vicious fight left her grappling with the dark side of far-right fame.
She’d done everything she thought men expected of women on the far right, so when the hatred came for Amy Dangerfield she felt so depressed she could barely stand.
She’d moved from Australia to the United States in 2017 with a dream of spreading her internet-inspired beliefs: that women had driven men to madness through rejection and disrespect; that society needed strong men to survive.
She’d worked to distinguish herself from the glut of women she thought had been conned by the poisonous promises of feminism, recording dozens of videos on their and her biological inferiorities as she fought to build a 100,000-subscriber YouTube page and a self-made career.
Then, this spring, she tried to do something on her own. She organized a small political event in Ohio called America First United, believing she could help spin Fuentes’s online movement into offline activism. But within hours of the first panel, the groypers turned on her, labeling it a disloyal attempt to undermine Fuentes’s leadership.

It’s almost like there are a certain set of people, including women, that refuse to learn from previous generations. In some cases, people that are even still around to tell them if they’d bother to listen. I’m male, but my mother telling me certain things about her generation blew my mind and stuck with me - one of which being that until the mid-1970s, women were not necessarily (in all 50 states) able to get a mortgage, open a bank account, or have a credit card unless they had the permission of a man.
Case in point seems to be both vaccines and feminism. Vaccines are definitely victims of their own success and why complete idiots can make utterly ridiculous claims that it is vaccines that are more harmful than the diseases they fight. Feminism and other civil rights may be the same way.
Young people listen to a certain set of ignorant dumbasses that tell them: “you don’t need this stuff, just look at how fine everything is”. Like this is just the natural order of the universe and was always that way, and nothing has to be done in order to sustain it…and now we have stupid prizes, like measles outbreaks and trad wives…

The couple called a lawyer and the police for help fighting the harassment, and Amy filed for, and was granted, a “protection against stalking” order against one person who she said had perpetrated the most “insane lies.” But the hate only seemed to grow. Accounts shared a blurry video of a woman having sex, saying it was Amy, while others flooded the comment sections of their wedding photos and LinkedIn profiles with rape threats and artificially generated porn.
