One Trump voter issued a tear-filled video regretting his decision to vote for the president after his brother, who served with U.S. special forces, died while in Immigration and Customs Enforcement.
In a video posted to social media, Naseer Paktyawal tearfully recalled his brother’s service to the country and the moment that ICE “kidnapped” him in front of his son, Imrin. ABC News initially posted the video.

“I saw two cars unmarked. Seven, eight people jump out of those cars,” Paktyawal said. “One on the driver’s side, one on the back of his car, and grabbed him from his seat and put a handcuff on him.”
Mohammad Nazeer Paktyawal’s son, Imrin, was also featured in the video and recalled witnessing his father’s arrest. “I was standing there, and then they came and just take him,” the boy said.
Imrin added that he was “standing there” as the agents hauled his father away. “I was like, just don’t take him, please,” Imrin recalled.
According to Paktyawal, he later received a call from an ICE facility. “I thought they were going to release him back,” Imrin said.
“He said, ‘Are you, Naseer?’ That’s me,” Paktyawal said. “Your brother Mohamed Nasir Paktyawal passed away this morning and his body is laying down in a parking lot in the hospital.”

“My first vote was for this president, and I regret it, and I’m gonna regret it for the rest of my life,” he added. “Because of me, because of my voting, He got arrested, and he lost his life. And I’m never going to forgive myself for that.”
CNN reported that he was taken by ICE agents outside of his Dallas apartment and died less than a day after being in ICE custody. His family said that Mohammad had no known health conditions and had been seeking asylum in the U.S. since his arrival in 2021.

So basically, he died from the ICE “custody” likely in a George Floyd style murder, and the murderers likely brought him to a hospital parking lot and dumped his body on the ground to avoid answering any questions.
The Trump voter got the day he voted for, but I certainly don’t take any pleasure. It’s not clear his brother voted for Trump [edit: he’s an asylum-seeker, so presumably not able to vote] and it’s a tragedy either way. I just feel a little more dead inside reading this. I guess there’s a limit to schadenfreude.
They voted in the Nazis, so it is difficult to empathize with them, or to even give them the smallest of sympathies. But my base humanist desires just won’t allow me to laugh at powerless people when they are crushed by the might of an authoritarian state. These people were duped by a psychopathic narcissist masquerading as a firebrand populist. That would have never happened if the democrats hadn’t abandoned the working class and ceded the populist ground to them in the first place.
I wonder how much the “manosphere” influenced their vote for the pedophile-in-chief.
I mean, did these people not see all the Karens with their “Mass Deportation Now” and “Send Them Back” signs?
What did they think those signs were about, after all? Did they think these Karens were really going to make a distinction? Did they think those that are the most ecstatic about this kind of thing, like Stephen Miller, would?
