The Democratic senator Jon Ossoff called Donald Trump a “draft-dodging, crook president” while defending the senator Mark Kelly as a hero during a Tuesday campaign appearance in Georgia, escalating his public feud with the US president.
“I don’t think anything illustrates the times more aptly than that the draft-dodging, crook president, who has plunged our nation recklessly into a war he knows not how to end or to win, tried to imprison this man, who embodies American heroism,” Ossoff said while appearing alongside Kelly and his wife, the former Arizona congresswoman Gabrielle Giffords.
Kelly, a former navy captain, and five other Democratic lawmakers were attacked by Trump last year after they released a social media video saying troops are not required to carry out illegal commands.

Ossoff, who is currently running for re-election to his Senate seat in Georgia and is widely speculated to be eyeing a 2028 presidential run, has received viral attention on social media for his sharp criticism of Trump.

Wasn’t it Trump who called Clinton, “Crooked Hillary”?
I mean are you making that as an argument to support this kind of campaigning? Like I seriously want to know because at face value, it seems like what you are saying.
And it doesn’t fucking work. What works to get Democratic voters to vote for a Democratic candidate is a different set of things than what works to get Republican voters to vote for a Republican candidate.
And not understanding the above, its why the Democratic party, in its “mainstream Democrat”, in its core identity: Its a party of fucking losers. Its a party of people who lose elections because they don’t actually want to have Democratic voters as voters. They wish they had Republicans for voters. They WORK to make their own voting base as vapid and stupid, and accepting of platitudes as Republican voters. Its why they campaign with the like of Liz-FUCKING-Cheney.
So yeah. I mean your response has some meaning, to be sure, but probably not what you intended.
My point is it worked for Trump.
Yeah and its a stupid fucking point. Its point which results in less understanding of how things work, not more.
A point which which should be thrown into the trash and disregarded in 2016, and instead, we’re still dealing with the world the manufacturers of that point have decided to create.
You’re welcome to whatever opinion you may have, personally I hope Ossoff’s message rings some bells of familiarity. Trump certainly reacted to that reporter who brought it up.
No. Shut the fuck up. Please don’t fucking run any fucking campaigns.
We’re actually turning the tide right now and its absolutely in no thanks to the kind of imbecilic, infantilizing fucking approach you are advocating for. We’re turning the tide because campaigns have largely rejected the kinds of politics you are advocating for because it keeps fucking losing. Its a fucking loser’s approach to campaigning.
The tide is turning because, like what should have happened in 2016, by focusing on policy; by focusing on making a material difference in peoples lives, we can actually motivate them to show up. If we go backwards to what you advocate for, we fucking continue to lose. Please stop advocating that we fucking lose.
Welcome to my personal ignore list. I’m quite happy that I’ll never read your insults ever again.
Like having the dumbest person you know tell you they aren’t going to call any more.
