Like, I love cars and driving fast but those are very bad things and I should feel bad for liking them because I’m killing the planet. So everything I like I feel guilty for liking. But if I didn’t feel guilty about liking things I’d feel guilty for not caring enough to feel guilty. So I can get why an ideology where you don’t have to feel guilty is so attractive.
As someone who tries to be progressive, my enjoyment of things is hampered by knowing more about how they affect things.
