Alabama Sen. Tommy Tuberville called for New York City Mayor Zohran Mamdani to be arrested and sent to the infamous American torture prison at Guantanamo Bay. Mamdani’s crime? Calling indicted alleged war criminal Benjamin Netanyahu an “architect of genocide,” responsible for a series of atrocities in the ongoing war on Gaza.
“Sooner or later,” Mamdani will “do something more stupid than what he’s done, where we will finally say enough is enough, go put the handcuffs on him … and send him to Gitmo,” Tuberville, a Republican, said, calling Mamdani a “thug.”

Funny coming from a guy who should be hung.
Not to be a nitpicker, but its “hanged” not “hung”. Hung is the past tense of hanging something up (Jimmy went and hung up his coat). The past tense of the execution is hanged (Jimmy was hanged at dawn in town square).
How is that not being a nitpicker? From the MW usage guide.
They were used completely interchangeably for centuries and still are to some extent. ¯\_(ツ)_/¯
e: shrugger lost his arm
UM ACTUALLY
Hung has another definition too
Hey now! There could be young children reading this! Keep it PG-13.
“We went to the Olive Garden and I ordered spaghetti. Hung had the fettuccine.”
“We went to the Carrabba’s and I ordered spaghetti. Hung had the fettuccine.”
Uhm, yeah, Olive Garden. Totally wasn’t thinking of a guy’s bits (as in, he’s hung).
FIFY
Yeah I messed it up, I’m watching that Backrooms movie right now and it’s not helping my thinking.
Watch Blazing Saddles and you’ll never get it wrong again.
Poor Jimmy though. Must have been one hell of a thing to hang up that coat. xD
