I could see the next congress in November still keeping these provisions if we don’t get enough progressives elected. The neoliberals love shit like this too. They’ll drag their feet on reversing it, if they reverse it at all.

Of course having a single individual coordinating thing cuts both ways. That person could also block things.
I’m certain the system would not incentivise that behaviour. I say scrap the whole MIC and figure some other shit out.
