After The New York Times reported that the administration had identified 384 foreign-born Americans as targets for denaturalization, Fox News host Will Cain asked Vice President JD Vance in an interview, “Could the law lead you to a place where we’d see accountability in the form of denaturalization or deportation from people who come to this country, legally or illegally, and take advantage of America?” Vance responded that the administration would “absolutely” be looking at how to denaturalize citizens and claimed that under the Biden administration there was a “big blurring of the lines between illegal and legal immigration.”

According to the Immigrant Legal Resource Center, denaturalization has historically been rare. It is typically only used in cases in which there is proof that a person was naturalized when they were not eligible, for example if a person misrepresented or concealed information during the naturalization process that would disqualify them from U.S. citizenship.

But in June 2025, the Trump Department of Justice released a policy memo expanding the administration’s “priorities for denaturalization.” The memo not only outlines new categories of immigrants who could be prioritized for denaturalization, but specifically warns that “the Civil Division retains the discretion to pursue cases outside of these categories as it determines appropriate.”

The official DHS twitter account tweeted not too long ago that they want to deport 100 million people. There aren’t that many immigrants in the US in total, naturalized or otherwise. The inescapable conclusion is that they intend to strip citizenship even from natural-born citizens who they decide are their political enemies.

Hard to see how even scotus would find a reason to betray an amendment of the constitution, which they don’t have the authority to do. But they’ve done it for decades on other amendments so we will see. They think the republic is dead already, it’s only us citizens that are still contesting it.

But with the scotus decision to disallow nationwide injunctions, there is nothing to stop the administration, or a future one, from rounding people up illegally and doing whatever with them.

I thought the ramifications of that decision would have been obvious but everyone is still oblivious, I’m sick of explaining it in detail.

This is who and what the Republicans and conservatives have always been, at root.

Never believe them when they - or those adjacent to them - start piping up with some horseshit about “true” conservatives.

Also, “take advantage of America” - fuck this asshole. The person doing that most egregiously, and practically rubbing all of our noses in it is the pedo-in-chief and his family. They are self-dealing right out in the open and all of these fuckers should be in prison for not only the prior crimes, but the crimes they have committed just since January of 2025.

In the same way that the solution to the Tolerance Paradox is to not tolerate intolerance, such threats to strip citizenship away from naturalised individuals should result in the would-be perpetrator’s citizenships being denaturalised instead. There should be no room for such hatred in modern society.

You can take my citizenship, it means nothing to me anymore. But you’ll have to take my Costco membership from my cold, dead hands.

I’m unironically at the point where I would absolutely vote for the person who promises to exile every Trumper in this country. So…

I honestly believe that a lot of higher officials should be hanged for treason. Starting with Trump and working our way down until justice is fully served.

No matter what, it’s going to take decades to undo Trump’s damage and frankly some of it is permanent. I expect no less than the next Dem President to be a full on leftwing dictator. Tear down the border wall, naturalize a shitload of immigrants, pack the court, yank every penny of aid to Israel, shutter every private prison, send the Nat Guard to Bezo’s house, and delete every record of student loan debt.

You do realize they are fixing elections. There might not be a non republican president again for some time.

Free ish. I strongly suspect they have been cheating in every way possible in States they control for some time. Not just in the quasi-legal ways we know about.

Now they have infiltrated down to the county level and streamlined their process of delivering death threats to election officials and have the programming of all the election vote counting machinery thanks to 2020, and everything else, I don’t know if you followed the 2020 thing but they are geared up to fix it and the Democrats have done shit to stop them, they have actively suppressed the people that actually are trying to stop them.

We could win but we won’t because we fight under the Democrats is the bottom line, they are the controlled opposition. We could take it from them but we aren’t because we are not organized and they play us off each other and we are to fucking stupid to realize it.

Say this lightly, because if you look at how someone like Saddam rose to power…it’s starting to look less far-fetched for the orange kid-diddler to pull.

We are past the point of doing this peacefully. We all need to wake up and arm up. I really hope I am wrong but we will see come November. Gerrymandering a district to the point of one side or the other really comes at a cost. In reality it make a lot of weak district that can be over turned if everybody gets their lazy asses out to vote. If we do not vote like it is the end of America in the midterms there is going to be violence. I can’t see anyway out of it.

Don’t worry I’m sure we can just vote ourselves out of this. I mean the disenfranchisement will be like 10x worse than the 2024 election, with people already in concentration camps.

But surely we can vote our selves out of this. /s
