Ted Cruz thinks the FCC stepped over the line in ordering Disney's ABC to file for an accelerated renewal of broadcast licenses of its eight local TV stations -- seemingly in response to a joke Jimmy Kimmel told about Melania Trump on late-night television.

But now Trump and you Republicans have now set the, to paraphrase Trump, presidence (sic) of Executive branch’s ability, nay, duty to censor speech.

      I think one of his victims’ washed ashore in Cancun last winter. He probably nabbed it before the cops arrived for forensics

    Maybe it shows that the FCC shouldn’t be under the control of the President because it presents too much temptation to censor the public?

    I’m sure it could be successfully challenged if the president didn’t bride the Supreme Court but it would still take to long time to resolve and ABC would lose a lot of money in the meantime

    Cruz has not caught up with his party. His party looooves to talk about free speech, but talking about it and being free are two different things, and the cons HATE freedom.
