Private prison company GEO Group’s net income rose 800 percent during fiscal year 2025, the company announced Thursday, thanks mainly to the Trump administration’s multibillion-dollar project to create a network of concentration camps across the country.

GEO Group’s net income for fiscal year 2025 was $254.3 million, compared to $31.9 million for the year before, executives said.

The earnings report comes as GEO Group’s stock price has plummeted by more than 60 percent after it rose sharply the day after Trump won the 2024 election. On Thursday, it fell by more than 14 percent to end trading at around $13.50 a share, partially due to fears of a backlash against Trump’s deportation surge.

But a company’s stock prices and its profits are not perfectly correlated. Stock prices can reflect that investors are confident about a company because its profits are high; they can also reflect how investors feel about a company’s activities, the tendency for some to follow trading trends or the activities of major investors, and their expectations about the future. Those factors do not necessarily have bearing on whether a company wins millions of dollars’ worth of government contracts, as GEO Group has.

Executives said they expect revenue in 2026 to hit between $2.9 billion and $3.1 billion.

GEO chief executive George Zoley said he was “pleased” with the results and that the year was “the most successful period for new business wins in our company’s history. We expect ’26 to be as active as ’25.” He noted that the company still has 6,000 idle beds that the government could use in its effort to deport one million people annually. Executives said they expect the government will increase its prisoner capacity to “100,000 or more,” and prefers to run fewer but larger facilities.

THE EARNINGS CALL ALSO COMES JUST DAYS after prisoners said that GEO employees had routinely assaulted and sexually assaulted them at an immigration prison in Washington state, and that the company responded by covering it up.

Tbf the context though is somewhat surprising. They’ve figured out a loophole to shareholder activism, which I guess to them is now the equivalent of government regulatory “overreach”?

The tax payers have no say in how their money gets spent because Trump’s a con artist and thief who doesn’t give a fuck about accountability to anyone as long as he and his overlords keep getting paid.

The shareholders have no say in how GEO group operates because the CEO is a con artist and thief who also no longer has to give a fuck about accountability to anyone.

These two con artist have figured out that as long as you’re willing to rob America blind and funnel stolen public money into private contracts, there is no need to worry about investors or tax payers.

American tax payers can now think of themselves like investors who had no say in how or where their money was invested, and will receive no return on their investments other than further depreciation of democracy and destruction of American liberty.

Meanwhile the CEOs of America Inc. and Geo Group will be handsomely rewarded for being such crooked greedy cock gobbling Benedict Arnolds.

Not sure where we go from here, but I was already finding it hard to believe there’s any logical reason I or any other Americans should have to keep paying taxes with this orange Jabba the Hutt chomo sitting in the gold plated palace previously known as the White house.

This is supposed to be a democracy, so it’s up to We the people, but I vote for a general strike on all tax payments until Congress gets off their ass and kicks this lying, worthless, Putin asset out of office and convinces me they’ve actually replaced him with somebody way down the line of his successors who won’t just continue to do the same thing, until we can hold the next election and put everyone who has profited on trial for treason and crimes against humanity.

I’m really not sure who that would be or if they even exist in this administration (doubtful), but I do know when I pledge allegiance to the American flag I’m not pledging allegiance to a Garfield looking chomo king, so that he can keep sitting on his throne and stealing my tax dollars to make himself and his oligarch friends rich enough to keep their pedophile network, anti democratic, genocidal murder machine going strong.

But that’s just me/my opinion. I can’t speak for other Americans who might be cool with their money being used this way.
