Since returning to office in January, Trump has affixed his name to prominent Washington buildings, a planned class of Navy warships, a visa program for wealthy foreigners, a government-run prescription drug website, and federal savings accounts for children.

Some historians see it as a superficial legacy-building effort by the president that may not stand the test of time. A backlash has already begun against the renaming of Washington’s premier performance venue as the Donald J. Trump and John F. Kennedy Memorial Center for the Performing Arts, with several acts canceling in protest.

I look forward to the day when all of that crap gets scraped off of the places that failure of a president’s name was plastered.

And in the places where it is not, I look forward to the day where cons are forced to be reminded of their skidmark of a hero when they are trying to quietly back away from even remembering who he was…

How is this anything new? The guy has an obsession with putting his name on things, especially things he doesn’t own. If you offered to pay him to put his name on your house, he’d love that.

Will the next Democratic leader want to “move forward”? Sadly, probably yes. I am hoping I am wrong.

I think it’d be funny if some Democrat were to write a quick bill called the “Make America Actually Great Again”, and it was just about removing his name from everything. And it gets rammed through Congress while he’s still living to watch it. 🤣

That, or the next Democratic President just does it by executive order the day of their inauguration, and, most importantly, has it implemented immediately. No waiting for the courts to approve it, because none of shit was done in the first place by normal processes, so reversing it should not have to wait, either.

I think we need to take this in a different direction… have kids play the trump in band again. Talk about trumps in card games. Refer to someone posting something embarrassing or unwanted to social media as trumping. Make trump another name for limp fries in a putin dish.

Eventually, the word will lose all meaning.
