For months, investigators would have to wait to issue subpoenas or interview witnesses to gather new information,” the authors write, adding that Garland “had chosen to impose a very conservative interpretation of what DOJ officials called the 60-day rule,” urging prosecutors to avoid taking public investigative steps within two months of Election Day that involve candidates in that election.
- No shit. We all watched it happen in half speed. Fuckers enabled this dystopia
- I started to think Garland was a deep mole for the far-right GOP years ago, his inaction was beyond incompetence, it’s almost as if he WANTED to run the clock out for any meaningful prosecutions.
- Garland is going down in the history books as a key enabler of this regime, and he’s somewhat responsible for everything happening now. - Probably an unpopular opinion, but if RBG had retired early we would have a better Supreme Court than we do now. - Absolutely, she contributed by not stepping down during Obama, but that was a lesser contribution. Also Bitch McConnell would’ve just held up her confirmation forever too.

- Garland and Biden essentially let trump get away with it
- Weirdly enough, there’s still a lot of people that seem to legitimately believe Biden did everything he was able to… - The IRA and Infrastructure Acts were the biggest investments in domestic renewable energy in history, and that’s a huge positive. Other than that… yeah. - They were the biggest because they were paused most of Trump’s years… - trump’s were going to be shitty, so Dems wouldn’t vote for them. - So Bidens should have been over 4 times normal to make up for it… - Renewable energy tech wasn’t mature enough during Obama or Trump 1 to become economically competitive. Regardless of how you want to frame it, it’s still true. - Regardless of how you want to frame it, it’s still true. - Well, you’re literally only caring about how big the total number… But now just the “energy tech” mattered? - By that total cost metric, republicans wanted it to be higher, so are you mad it wasn’t? - Like, if the only metric we care about is the total cost… - Biden rejected multiple ones for being too high, so your argument that he should get credit for how high it was when he was the one that lowered it… - Just doesn’t make sense. But now you’ve already committed to that being all that matters, are you going to just pick a new one and insist that’s all that matters and somehow Biden gets all the credit? - ok, I don’t even know what point you’re trying to make, but it’s not important enough to keep going with you - but it’s not important enough to keep going with you - So… - The only reason you replied to my hour old comment, was to tell me that you don’t want to reply anymore? - Buddy… - In that scenario you just don’t make the comment, I don’t need a notification from someone that I won’t get another notification. I assure you no one is waiting in baited breath to hear back
