    I know my state barely uses the federal funds. Its less than 10% of their budget. So they’re not complying.

      It’s mostly the Republican lead states that use it. It’s funny how the biggest federal welfare queens are all the supposedly fiscally responsible Republicans while the Democrats meanwhile actually run balanced budgets and aren’t reliant on federal bailouts.

        It’s the same everywhere. Conservatives brag loudly about responsibility of all kinds, but in practice they never act responsibly nor take responsibility for anything. Meanwhile those who don’t preach practise. Words for the right wing are just cudgels.

        It’s gonna be fucking great when all the blue states that contribute disproportionately to the federal budget and national economy start saying “no” when the Feds try to get them to pay up. More than a few red states are gonna straight up collapse.

      Your state might only use that, but schools in larger cities are often reliant on Title I and IDEA funding, sometimes making up >40% of their funding pools.
