I hate they’re having to face penalties like this for speaking out, but mad respect to them for taking a stand.

Jokes aside, one of the kids said during the interview he was actually called an antisemite by classmates before. So there is that…

So hypothetically, if an Israeli gets depression, is experiencing a lot of negative self-worth, and is having suicidal thoughts, and keeps telling themselves they “don’t want exist anymore, I don’t deserve to live, etc.”…

        Does that make them antisemitic?

I just wonder if the kids of those warmongering politicians are going to the front? I think we should make a law where someone wants to wage a war their kids to be at the forefront and witness first hand all the killings and destruction first hand.

It’s relatively normal in countries that still have conscription, if you don’t serve and don’t get an exception, you go to jail, otherwise what is the point of conscription vs just making it voluntary. The more damaging thing for these teens will be the social and career repercussions they face for refusing to serve, they will be barred from many lucrative jobs that will automatically filter out people who refused to serve, etc.

The same applies here in Switzerland. If you refuse military service you go to jail. The only difference is we are not at war. What a horrendous system. How effective are unmotivated soldiers anyway?
