The Sergio Leone trilogy with Clint Eastwood arguably gets better. The first one was almost a shot-for-shot remake of Yojimbo - good but derivative. The third movie stood up well against the early ones and the music was maybe the best.

college textbooks. have to have the latest edition for class, but almost nothing is different from the two-years-old one.

that’s why you stiff em the last month’s rent
not that I know of, nope.
my gf buys several sizes at once and ships back the rejects. with some online shoe stores the return shipping is free.
original Star Wars. saw the ad on TV, the line to get in was down the block. crowd reaction when the death star exploded was awesome. I was 8 or 9 years old.
blues brothers was my first R rated movie. outstanding film!

I don’t understand why these butthurt republicans don’t just start voting against trump. Like somehow the only options are toe the party line or resign.

this guy theorizes a presidential run is the reason. why would she need to quit congress to do that though?

Resigning just doesn’t make sense to me. I’m thinking either very credible death threats, or they have something on her.

Age 57 here. We kind of blobbed up a bit during the pandemic. About a 18 months ago we started walking every day at lunch, about 2.5 miles. Not huge distance but just being consistent with it I think has helped us a lot. We did a few hikes this year that I don’t think we could have done (or not without more injury risk) without the consistent walking.
For me tendonitis has been a thing. Got my first case of it in my late 20s and have had several bouts of it since - achilles, hip flexors, wrist, etc. Learning to recognize that as a problem and what to do to recover is important, as repetitive stress injuries can keep you from doing a lot of things.

Did the billionaires really lose the fight over the DNC? I remain unconvinced because of these linked articles. No I’m not waiting for billionaire media to convince me or anyone. I’m not an idiot.
I’m saying if its the case that the DNC is trustworthy and not actually rooting for Schumer’s surrender monkey tactics, its important that that is communicated somehow to voters. But an interview or press release is not going to cut it. How about they provide evidence by taking some action, like cutting Schumer and the rest off from campaign funds? Or something.

Personally I’ve been assuming that the DNC is the same as the one that screwed Bernie in 2016. If that’s not so then its really important to make that a news item. This current fiasco is going to make people want to abandon the Democrats as a rallying point.

How does he not have a corrupt DNC behind him?
I’m afraid I’m still on reddit quite a bit. Most communities have a lot more activity there. Rust, nixos, luthiery, local and state level subreddits. r/fiddle, and other instrument subreddits have more activity.
That said theres a lot of chaff that I wouldn’t miss. r/sysadmins is all removed about corporate work, r/machinists the same but blue collar. r/hiking is all shoe posts and gear. Political subreddits have lots of activity but its 90% rage farming.
Technical communities are strong on lemmy, despite their smaller size. And its refreshing to read the super far left diatribes, I don’t get that stuff elsewhere.

well it sucks. It looks like he’s going to die a Nazi. What the fuck dad?
a little USB box that you plug the phone into, made it into an audio device. needed windows drivers and I no longer use windows.
very solid, built to last. I used to use it to talk on skype.
One of these telephones. Was my grandfather’s.
