I was a volunteer teacher in Africa from 1988-91.
I would write letter from my village, and it would take one month to get to my family in Canada. They would write a response, and it would take one month to get back to my village. That was just the reality.
Now the village I lived in has a cell phone tower in the middle of it. I haven’t been back, but I am willing to bet that a lot has changed.
I went through engineering school, and 20 years of work (not as an engineer), before finding a calculus text that explained why the derivative of x^2 is 2x. Along with many practical applications of calculus.
That book was Calculus Made Simple, published in 1914. Thanks, Project Gutenberg!

Once again, it appears that a conservative has an epiphany when the harsh, Darwinian economic and social policies of his party affect him personally.
In case you didn’t read the article, his disillusionment with the Conservative party, after having been a lifelong member and a cabinet minister under Stephen Harper, appeared when he had a severely handicapped child.
Funny thing is that Elon is actually a former Queen’s student. He didn’t graduate from there, he transferred to a university in the US. I guess he won’t be on there alumni greeting card list this year!
Have you paid any attention to the political scene in the United States? There is no way that a billionaire could be convicted of any crime. In the rare event that they are charged, they can delay and obfuscate so that they die before any repercussions must be suffered.
I don’t think that the truth of the two-tiered American justice system has ever been so clearly delineated.
The vast majority of these were obtained as part of a bundle. Humble Bundle since 2010, BundleStar (now Fanatical) since 2013, IndieGala, probably other charity bundles. There might be 10-15 games in bundle, of which I want only a couple, and also many duplicates across bundles.
Can you give me an idea of what kind of games you like? Or you could look them up on Steam to get a better idea.

Given that large areas of the world do not see breasts as sexual, it’s hard to avoid the conclusion that breasts are erogenous because our society has said that they are, rather than any innate characteristic.
When I lived in Africa, women and girls had no problem exposing their breasts, but would go to great length to keep their thighs covered.
There is so much money involved. I would almost say that there is too much money involved to leave the results up to the athletes.
