But seriously, why worry about stuff you can’t change? If they launch the nukes, then you’ll be dead and so it won’t matter if you worried about it or not. So you might as well just not worry.

Combining things that haven’t been combined before is the quintessential creative act. Because as you said, there is nothing new under the sun. But there are new ways of combining those things.

Are these basically like “dumb blonde” jokes in America?

It’s fun to put “I’m not racist but” in front of totally innocuous statements.

I’m not racist but there’s a blue Hyundai parked outside my building.

I love rock bands with women on the vocals. I like Dead Sara, The Pretty Reckless, Halestorm, The Beaches, The Warning, In This Moment, Metric, The Interrupters, Larkin Poe. Lots more but that’s a good sample.

French is tough, but I’d argue it isn’t that hard compared to some other languages. Grammatical gender and conjugation are a pain in the ass, but the vocabulary is very familiar to a native English-speaker because of the languages’ common history (thanks, William the Conqueror)

Think carefully and double check before you ever agree with a Republican politician about anything.
