Since the headline is missing context and could be interpreted as a newcomer looking to kick Pelosi out of her seat, and knowing how many users on Lemmy just reply to headlines without reading the article itself, the possibility of that happening just seemed stronger I guess.
Not sure if I’d be that confident (unless I missed some sarcasm). The article quotes him as staying he’d never want to challenge her for her seat, and he’s just waiting for it to open once she retires so he can run. Also refers to Pelosi as an “icon” that he wants to succeed. That’s not an indicator of someone who wants to go against the establishment.
Definitely not over. Assuming he wins the election, I would anticipate a lot of sabotage stemming from establishment politicians and public servants. If they can’t win this election, they’ll want to make his term as mayor as discordant and ineffectual as possible, to make it easier for a more conservative/establishment candidate to win the next one.
Makes me wonder though if Bush wouldn’t’ve used more drones if they were cheaper and readily available earlier in his presidency. At the time, they were still incredibly expensive and unreliable.
No one in government cares how many collateral deaths there are when drones are used, as long as it reduces the number of Americans returning home in boxes. Keeping the voters happy is always the priority.
The flag of the Chinook Nation is one I recall seeing and thinking it was very unique, memorable, and aesthetically pleasing.

Could be that is the case, or it could be that they intentionally proposed the amendment knowing it wouldn’t pass in order to prove that the proposed law was attempting to establish a single state religious preference.
I don’t know their motives, but it sounds like the sort of thing the Satanic Temple would do, albeit using actual, mainstream religions instead.

You don’t really, other than checking certificates.
URLs are just an address to access content, they don’t have much inherent connection to the content that is there. Most legitimate websites use signed certificates to demonstrate validity, but certificates won’t tell you if someone infiltrated a legitimate site and uploaded malware to it, for instance.
Avoid http connections in favor of https, as http is unsigned, unencrypted, open traffic that anyone with access to your network can snoop on.

That’s optimistic. The handlers are probably still at (or even orchestrating) the briefings.
TBH still my enemy, I’d say. His methods are still about leveraging his ill-gotten wealth to manipulate American politics in his favor. No matter which end he accomplishes, the means are still a complete breach of the democratic process, in my opinion.
