Not really because the state cops wouldn’t be interfering or stopping federal enforcement. Just illegal tactics and methods. If an FBI agent murders someone, they’re going to get arrested for murder, even if they were arresting someone at the time. Having an overriding authority, doesn’t make them immune to the law.

There are less than 2000 federal judges, the Federalist Society has over 70,000 members. They have the man power and motivation to replace them over night. At which point the law says what the fuck they want it to.

What’s stopping them isn’t that they lack the resources to seize total control. It’s that they lack the resources to maintain control. And they’re never going to have them.

They’re expecting the judges to push back so they have an excuse to get rid of the judges.

That’s just it though, Trump hasn’t rewritten anything. He’s made a lot of noise, violated a lot of norms, and laws, but he hasn’t actually changed anything other than reputation. He hasn’t even changed the real budget, the second easiest thing for him to do. None of his executive orders are laws, the constitution isn’t going anywhere, and he’s not going to be amending it any time soon.

You’re mistaking support for our way of life, with support for Trump. We could rise up, we could overrun our own government, on a fairly short time scale. But then we’re also in a civil war. Which even assuming we win, in the best possible amount of time, with the least casualties, we still have to rewrite our laws to stop this happening again.

Or, we can sit here and work the system we have. Take fewer casualties, destroy fewer buildings, and have the same, if not better, odds of success. While keeping as much as possible, and rewriting the laws so this doesn’t happen again. There are limits on Trump, and what the public will allow. They’re just not as touchy as what the rest of the world would allow. Most places operate with much smaller communities, where feedback is much quicker.

It wasn’t a Trump blow out, he won due to the rules of our system, by an incredibly small margin, and all the polls before hand were showing a toss up race, probably in Kamala’s favor by a small amount.

I’ve give it a good 15 to 20% chance that the public, or a governor, would show up with enough force of arms to cause a civil war. Outside of that I’d give it a 50/50 chance of working out for the Nazi’s. The reality though is that the left isn’t organized around any kind of physical force. The worst thing the right could do is cause that to change. Because of course they would immediately try to stop it, causing a military Streisand effect. If your political opponents are organizing to physically protect themselves from you, attacking them for it, will make them organize and react with violence much faster. The only thing worse than organized violence, is quickly escalating organized violence.

Honestly I don’t think she should run in 28. Nothing against Kamala, but we really don’t need a moderate centrist insider to bring us back from the damage Trump is doing. The nation would be far better off having a real debate with Pete, Tim, and Alexandria up on stage. Kamala would have too much power over the process, and would use every bit of it. Which of course means that’s exactly what’s going to happen, probably handing us a narrow loss to fucking Don Jr. or some other moron puppet.

They’d be bragging about it on the news in order to promote the chilling effect. The question at that point would be if it caused an armed reaction. They want to start a civil war because they think they will win.
