The Biden administration and Garland are culpable for this. They had every reason to lock Trump up when they took office after January 6th. If they would have just locked his ass up right away and set a trial date, the sentiment in the world was he went too far. At minimum they could have gotten him for inciting a riot. Their hemming and hawing instead of acting allowed him to control the narrative and made people think he was innocent. They fumbled that moment so badly it was ridiculous. It made the government look weak and allowed the Trumpist right to consolidate power in the vacuum of inaction.
