5 months agoNo. Yes. And any sonar that exists already in use and has been since its invention. Mariners are asked to turn sonar devices off when near whales.
It sounds like they’re talking about some sort of flir device.

Afaik flir is for above water only. Assuming that’s the tech they’re talking about though, it’s the early detection of breaching they’re likely looking for, so it may help.
