  • Wife is always right! - Aside of the joke, I would attack this from an other point.
If the pants has a ‘permanent’ crease the dryer definitely will remove it, and the ironing will be a nightmare afterwards.
If you have garment bags you can always use it for the dryer, it would prevent some damage: stretching and so on.
If the price of your pants is less than a “disposable” amount for your family - probably not worth the hassle. If it’s pricey then honestly it is not that much more work to hang it on a pants hanger to dry. In that case it’s better safe than sorry.
I’ve heard stories about dry cleaners just using washing machines in the back, never got caught and got great reviews. So there is that. ;)

  • Looking at other comments I will point out one thing nobody mentioned so far: keeping an old per alive is not always cheap.
You have to calculate the cruel numbers against the gain or loss also.
You could give an other neglected - abandoned pet a new life, instead of making your loved one to slowly expire.
Or I do not wish the situation on anyone, but pet meds vs human food can come into play too.

  • I’m sorry to hear that. Life is a mess qnd we do have a lot of things to worry about. But there are many things that worth it living for.
In my mind my line ends with me so I will take mult time so I don’t go to waste. A human cost about a million dollars let’s get our value out of this life ;)

  • Everything is on fire. Bugs are dying, teflon - and chemicals are everywhere, micro plastics, warming oceans, invasive species, west Nile virus, ohh cancer that I might be actually developing right now, the emptiness of existence, the inability to change big things, that at the end it won’t matter. Nobody cares. Me doing my part doesn’t matter. Immeasurable human stupidity, global upcoming financial crisis.
These are of the top of my head. But I do know how to keep my head in the sand, so at least I can sleep well enough.

I was told - but I never fact checked it - that the FDA actually has less than 10 employees. Everyone else is an outside contractor. And if it is true, I do think it needs better organization.
If an agency that has to protect all consumers is organized this way, that’s really worrisome.
