CEO sex ring

I obviously never met any of them but the band itself just comes across as a bunch of douchebags, especially James Hetfield.

Meatloaf just had this annoying voice that made his music unbearable, the instrumentation is kinda ok if you like bloated overdramatic arena rock.
Being an anti-wax asshat, he died of COVID a couple of years ago. He was gonna do anything for love, but he wouldn’t do that.

To be honest? AC/DC; they’ve got plenty of good songs but plenty of duds as well. It’s pretty much become one of those bands that if you ask someone, who’s wearing their tshirt what their favourite song/album is, they either won’t be able to give you an answer, or pick a really obvious one (most likely either Highway to Hell or Hell’s Bells).
It’s the same with Metallica and, to a lesser extent, Iron Maiden.

You could sell it for way too much on ebay, those M1 Macbooks are still worth a fair bit. I recently tried to get a water damaged M1 Pro Macbook and people outbid me like crazy; went for 150€ in the end despite being almost certainly a total dud.
Even ones without a working display go for 170€, which is far more than I’d pay for a fully working non-workstation laptop from that time…
Edit: Just looked at the listing again and the water damaged M1 Pro went for 234€. According to the listing it sat around for 2 years after it stopped working from water damage. 234€.

IBM Model M; there’s nothing better than buckling springs when it comes to tactility (and noise).
Those Keychron keyboards do look pretty neat, though.

Tetris DX, either on original hardware or my Analogue Pocket

I used to wonder about how my family and friends would react and what they’d do If I just stopped existing for one reason or another.
It’s a pretty “normal” thought to have when you’re depressed I think, and it’s what sends you further down the spiral. But yeah, even as someone who wants to believe in an afterlife, I wouldn’t want to know anything about what I left behind.

I’m German. Einigkeit und Recht und Freiheit oder so…
Mostly taught myself English, since our educational system sucks so much.
Not really. lemmy is not a good place for it I think.
global concentration camp
You keep saying that, what does it mean?
it hasn’t worked out very well
Why do you feel that exactly? Do you think we are afraid of something and that’s why we can’t communicate “without filters”?
I don’t see a point in being dramatic about it anymore. I’m doing what I can to make the world a better place but I know full well that’s not nearly enough.
Why even bother getting frustrated over it? The best thing I can do is continue living my life and try to make the best of it; not being oblivious to what’s happening but also not letting myself be dragged down by it.

Build myself a new life in Australia, get a motorbike and do lots of road trips, and maybe start a family.

Used Surface Pro 8 maybe. No repair ability but decent value for money

When I was in Australia, a bunch of people asked me about the public transport here and all of them were baffled when I told them how shit it was…
I have no idea where this perception that everything must be perfect in Germany or Europe came from but it is sooo outdated.
Speaking of tickets; in NSW you just tap your Opal card when entering/leaving train stations. It makes so much more sense and is so much easier.
Those things aren’t nearly as cool, though (IMO)
ThinkPad W701DS. Depending on configuration it has an intergrated Wacom digitiser w/ pen, a built-in Pantone colorimeter, two RAIDed hard drives and of course the glorious second screen that pops out.

Ok.
Pokémon (grew up with seasons one to four)
The Angry Beavers
