Right now there’s not really any power to be gained by subverting it, so it’s handled by people who are interested in keeping it working well. Make it the gateway to electoral control, and interest groups will worm their way into control of it - and then you have a variant on poll testing.

Appealing as the idea is, the problem is who gets to control the exams.

Nah - stories like this serve to both destabilize him, and make resistance feel more achievable.

It’s intimidating to think about trying to oppose a government that can and will disappear people at will, and is stronger than any government in human history. But a chicken TACO? That you can resist.

Also, if he’s focused on people name-calling him, it gets a bit harder for his handlers to keep him focused on their goals.

The federal workers that I know are doing everything they can to get everything that’s been spoken for out to the recipients ASAP. If food is rotting, I suspect it’s because it can’t be moved.
