Productivity is a measure of how much you can get done in a block of time. It doesn’t have anything to do with end goals.
It’s a bit of a silly question like asking what fuel mileage has to do with where you drive to.
Productivity is how fast I’m moving towards my goal. Its end goal is to reach my goal.
Literally it means producing stuff, I guess, so creating physical objects, art, code, etc. It’s not something I’d ever really measured or cared about. Many of the things I need to do are not productive, eg revising for tests, but are still useful for me to do.
