    It always was. Even the modified mineral deal had no actual security guarantees. And holy shit no one is going to trust the word of the US on anything right now.

      Or ever again. Who would be dumb enough to enter into any long term agreement with the USA knowing that in 4 years or less a new administration could toss it out the window like a Putin critic.
