I love Voyager, but if we are going to be a better resource than Reddit we need to be able to select and delete comments and posts in bulk. Bulk deletion should absolutely be a feature.

    Absolutely.

    Two years before I left that bot dump I predicted in a community I frequented a lot that they needed to root out dumb posts, bots and inappropriate behaviour at the core, or their community will fall apart.

    Looked after that community a week ago and found a post by the mods asking why the sub became so shite. The answers were clear: Too much harassing, too much low effort, too little moderation. Who’d have thought. And the worst part (for that community, not for me): A lot of nice and friendly users already left and will never return.

    That’s what you get when you let the trolls run free. They spoil everything. Don’t let that happen.

    You mean for moderation or what? And including a photo is not required at all.

    I don’t see what you want to do. If you want to delete one of your own comments, you can, so other people don’t see it. You can still see it as “deleted by creator” and you can restore it, so the contents never seem to get scrubbed from the server.

    Moderators can delete inappropriate comments and posts if that’s what you’re asking. The web interface has buttons for that. IDK about Voyager, which I tried for a while and gave up on. It’s easier to use a browser.
