Assholes like him are a big part of the reason we can’t have nice things. He’d rather screw people over and let the Rs win instead of just a. Doing the right thing, and b. Letting a few bigots not vote for him.

People like this are exactly what we can expect from the Democrats moving forward. As the right wing gets more fascist, the Democrats will have to make less concessions in order to still be considered the morally correct choice. They are just as hateful of trans people as the right wingers, apparently. Now that the right has proven it’s an effective enough message to win votes from the nutters, i have a feeling this will become standard operating procedure for Democrats, particularly those running in conservative states. If they are genuinely looking to win votes from abhorrent people, they need to take their masks off.
