More money in the video game industry than ever before but corporate predatory consolidation and enshittification still deeply mires the industry.
While that’s true for the entire videogame industry, but for XBOX it doesn’t look good so far. It might be self inflicted, the point is, that XBOX “needs” changes. Note, I’m not saying the layoffs should happen, just counter argue your argument of “more money than ever before” that this is not true for XBOX itself.
How do you think all that money came to be? Enshittification and corporate consolidation is the entire goal of capitalism.
