So the NDP had a majority and the Cons were in tatters. Calling a snap election was such a power-grabby mistake. Now the Cons are projected to win and if they do, credit can be given squarely to Eby for it, sadly.
Snap elections shouldn’t even be allowed imo except in some rare circumstances.
Those numbers are very interesting if actual seats land that way … because it suggests a minority government, and the Greens aren’t going to cooperate with the Conservatives.
Reminder that popular votes does not equal seats. We’re using first-past-the-post not proportional representation. The cons are project to win 52 seats. The BC NDP and BC Greens need to stop the elitist BC Cons.
Well, really, we the electorate need to stop the BC Cons.
