See, call me crazy, but like, I thought there were laws and caps to how much a person could donate to a candidate?
And yes I know its some silly loophole, PAC, citizens united corporate bullshit whatever… but like, it “feels” like we all understand the spirit of the law right? And so we all can plainly see that this doesnt respect it? So maybe we dont need to get hung up on technicalities when the violation is blatantly obvious, yea?
If I understand the idea of pacs remotely correctly it is more or less that you can independently advertise whatever you want, you can have a guest speaker in said advertisement, and you can read public messages. None of these individually can be restricted so there is no issue with stringing them together for political gain.
