I just worry the timing of the US elections and how Canada reacted may fatally convince Canadians an empty, neoliberal banker who stokes feelings of nationalism without actually helping the average person is the only choice that can save them from rightwing fascism when it is in truth the only choice that can make the rise of rightwing fascism inevitable.
The only people who will be politically engaged in Canada after people like Carney are done with the country are working class uninformed angry people who will give power to the first person who comes along who convinces them they will burn everything down.
