It’s alleged that former executive director of the B.C. Conservative Party, Elaine Allan, hired the private investigator. Findlay installed Allan to the position in August, after previous party director Angelo Isidorou quit. Despite the close connection between Allan and Findlay, the party leader said Thursday she was unaware of the private investigator.

Of course she was unaware. All she did (allegedly) was tell Allan to find out everything she could, and approve the expense. She didn’t know or care how it was done.

The 14-person list includes former party officials, as well as former and current B.C. Conservative MLAs, Lululemon founder Chip Wilson, communication experts, and CHEK’s Shaw.

Those on the investigator’s list include:

3. Fountainhead Communications (Isidorou’s communications firm)
4. Aisha Estey (former B.C. Conservative Party president)
5. Claire Rattée (current B.C. Conservative MLA)
6. Rosalyn Bird (former B.C. Conservative MLA, now independent)
7. Brennan Day (former B.C. Conservative MLA, now independent)
8. Mandeep Dhaliwal (current B.C. Conservative MLA)
9. Áʼa꞉líya Warbus (former B.C. Conservative MLA, now independent)
10. Amelia Boutlbee (former B.C. Conservative MLA, now B.C. NDP MLA)
11. Matt Hannah (B.C. NDP caucus issues management director)
12. Jonathan Ross (communications person from Winnipeg)
