Well yeah, I guess “tampering” has a negative connotation. Would “He yelled at me that I should vote for Smith” qualify as legal election tampering?
It qualifies as “every commercial for the last 2 months and half the shit in my mailbox”
Doing a good job governing and making people better off then campaigning on that success is legal.
Boring news cycles, but legal.
