President Donald Trump — whose approval ratings continue lagging — posted a social media image suggesting renaming the state of New Mexico as “New America.”
U.S. Rep. Gabe Vasquez, of Las Cruces, in a response to Trump on X stated, “You don’t get to erase New Mexico. Not our name. Not our history. Not our culture. The President may want to call us ‘New America,’ but we know who we are.”
It’s the same as him running a 3rd term. Whatever takes the energy out of the oppositions base they will throw it their way.
The fact that people feed into it, eat it and keep covering it means he can distract even more from the real shit that people should care and act about.
Well it’s hard when Apple and Google keep bending their knee to suck off Trump with every one of his whims.
