Someone is going to have to define “maga” as anything other than a nonsense baby-word that sounds like goo-goo and gaa-gaa.
For the most part, it has only meant people stupid and terrible enough to buy into a washed-up never-was like donnie and to put on that stupid hat [1]. So when people talk about who or what is “true” maga, it just makes me laugh because it just looks like The Tribe That Rubs Shit In Their Hair finally found someone awful enough for them to worship.
[1] By the way, anyone ever see any of them wearing that hat when they aren’t in a big group of them? I never see any of these pussies wearing that hat by themselves.

My dad did. He’s dead now and my mom opted not to put the hat on him in the casket, so not anymore.
She also decided to throw out his “Nazi shirts” (her term) rather than donate then with the rest of his clothes.
She’s also MAGA, but not quite as rabid sr he was.
Sorry to hear about your dad. She’s maga, but she called his shirts “Nazi shirts”?
Also, I guess I did see one person wearing one of those in public, but I think it might have been some School of Mines student in Golden. The other college-aged people sitting with him were not wearing anything politically affiliated, so I’m not even sure it was the actual hat.

I’d love to hear the thought process on that one, as well.
There’s MAGA that think they aren’t fascist, and there’s MAGA that embrace the fascism. That might be the political difference between my parents.
My mom didn’t want any of his DVDs, but I’m always down to add more movies to my media server, so I took them. Among the westerns and the war movies were some documentaries about WW2 German military leaders which I didn’t find particularly surprising or disturbing. However, there was also a copy of Triumph of the Will.
It’s very strange for me. I loved my father, and I know he loved me. I’m pretty sure I was his favorite. I’m also the most farthest left of his children, and two of my three kids are trans.
Complicated doesn’t even approach the same universe as my relationship with my father.
I wonder if the MAGA faithful are smart enough to ask, “How does renaming Lake Ontario help us?”
They just ask: “did it own the libs?”
I used to say they shoot themselves in the foot and yell “take that libs!”, but they do it so often, they don’t have any feet left to shoot off.
