The re-opening of the Strait of Hormuz depends on whether the US will accept Iran’s conditions, a spokesperson for the Iranian Revolutionary Guard Corps said on Saturday.
He said that the ongoing talks with Oman will not be the deciding factor in whether Iran re-opens the strait, but that it instead rests on how the US moves forward.
Iran’s Foreign Minister Abbas Aragchi said that #Iran and #Oman were close to reaching an agreement over shipping through the vital waterway, with Reuters citing a #US official who said that they expect a deal soon.
