The Trump administration has greenlit Saudi Arabia’s nuclear enrichment project, but with no safeguards in place to prevent the development of a bomb, CNN reported on Friday.

The draft deal, viewed by the news outlet, showed Washington’s support for Riyadh’s civilian nuclear programme is still awaiting President Donald Trump’s signature, despite US-Saudi negotiations concluding in October.

Unnamed officials cited in the story indicated that the documents, which include the mandatory “123 agreement” and safeguards protocols, have not yet been sent to Congress, potentially for fear of bipartisan pushback.

Seems to run counter to enacted law. Also, how much you want to bet there will be chicinery with the upcoming government shutdown will provide cloak and cover for this.

Crazy thought: this is all blackmail because Saudi Arabia got a copy of the Epstein files.

So… We’re bombing one authoritarian theocracy to stop it from getting nukes but cheering on another one to do the same. Man, winning has never felt this confusing 😵‍💫

Don’t forget our ally, the authoritarian theocracy that already has nukes. All of Israel’s neighbors understand that nukes are the only thing that keeps Israeli fighter jets out of your country.

Ironically, a nuclear armed Iran and Saudi Arabia may lead to more stability in the region by being a check on Israeli (and US) aggression.

Iran started their nuclear program in the 60s. They have been enriching for decades and yet no bomb despite Israel and the US claiming a bomb is just weeks away for decades.

So yeah, Iran has a pretty good track record when it comes to nuclear weapons. They literally agreed to a non-proliferation deal and Trump ripped it up because it had Obama’s signature on it.

So Republicans have now greenlit a theocratic muslim, jihadist sponsoring regime, to have nukes.

How much you wanna bet these “god fearing” Christians on the right who cheer Palestinian and IRA ian civilian deaths will conveniently turn a blind eye to this news?

I could see your crazy thought as potentially not so crazy. I have also had the thought that all the politicians siding with isreal are in the files and isreal has the videos. It wouldn’t surprise me if other countries had them.

I think I heard that there had been some breach of the Epstein files back in like 2023 or something (?) and I recall people saying “,I bet it was anonymous and they are going to release it all”.

      But that never happened.

I did not think it was Anonymous. I assumed it was some other country and they would hold it as blackmail.

      There would be no release.

Once it’s out there, it can’t be used anymore.

I also thought the same about the doj. They won’t release files on the politicians they are controlling. Cause then trump can’t control them.

I dont think they are “protecting” these men so much as they are protecting their blackmail material.

Trump has no loyalty. Only keeps people for their usefulness to him.

          Mexican standoff situation.

But the thing is. So far no one has held Trump accountable for anything. So he probably thinks that will hold.
