I mean when there is no way to buy food for some reason. A mouse hanged itself in your refrigerator. And you need to wait a few days or a week before the payday. I can’t clearly explain what I mean in more detail, because now I don’t feel well and think a little badly, but I hope you understand what I mean.

For anyone in scenarios like this:
- You likely already know about local food banks, but just mentioning them for thoroughness.
- Look for local chapters of Food, Not Bombs to find out when they do food distros. Try contacting them via online contact information for direct aid as well.
- Speaking of, look for mutual aid groups in your area. Some online directories can be found at https://www.mutualaidhub.org/, https://organize.directory/location and https://www.communitycommons.org/entities/edd8457e-d151-441f-9113-f4a4d04e8cea
- Look for local Sikh temples in your area that serve Langar, which are free community meals available to everyone of any faith.
- Try asking around for extra produce from people’s gardens on online local groups, especially gardening groups. This might mostly net you copious amounts of zucchini, but it’s still something.
Aren’t there people around you who help those who are so hungry they can’t even find food? Or do you have any chance to getting free food?
Sounds like you mean poverty-induced starvation?
You can say so, but in fact, in my case, it’s because of debts. But what I was really interested in how other people deal with the situations I’ve described.
