There’s also short term disability, but even if you pay extra for that I don’t think that’s long enough to be short-term.. And even if 8 days qualifies, most don’t pay the full wage for time taken. Funny isn’t it?
Plus very few companies have sick leave as distinct from PTO, basically sick or not, your ass wasn’t at work.
So, I’m curious. How many average American workers can take 8 days off work for medical reasons and still keep their job?
