If the maximalism of this first week is the product of hubris, that means it’s much more likely that Trump will overreach, and probably sooner rather than later. It’s hard to know exactly what that looks like, but you can imagine a series of litigation and legislative defeats — or a genuine crisis created by his focus on retaliation and power grabs at the expense of governance — spiraling out of Trump’s control
Give it 6 months before idiots realize how badly they fucked up. And, frankly, I couldn’t give a flying shit if those idiots pay with their lives.
He has absolute power and nothing sticks to him. He’s fine and he’ll be fine.

Trump overreached the moment Musk made the nazi salute and the people there cheered out loudly, instead of at least being surprised. He is in need of stopping everything and doing damage control since then.
Of course, he has been fully focused on doing more damage ever since, instead of damage control.
