Yep. Pretty much everything Trump has done is modeled after either Hitler or Putin, and of course this is no exception. Putin has been using political criminal lawfare to disqualify and imprison political opponents for decades, so that’s clearly the goal.
Not that Gavin is a great opposition leader, but he’s probably the one who to Trump looks like the biggest threat (white, male, relatively young, willing to resort to whatever populist pandering it takes).
Maybe Newsom can call on some of the billionaire freinds he made while shooting down the billionaire tax to help him now. If Newsom cant be bothered to care about the public during his job to represent us, then I dont know why we should care about him being investigated.
