Press TV outlined five key demands that define Iran’s framework for ending the war.
-
The first condition is a complete halt to all military aggression, including airstrikes, targeted assassinations, and covert operations.
-
Second, Iran demands firm and verifiable guarantees that such attacks will not be repeated.
-
Third, Tehran is insisting on reparations, including compensation for damages caused by the war and clarity on how those payments would be enforced.
-
Fourth, Iran requires that any ceasefire apply across all fronts of the conflict, including allied resistance groups operating throughout the region.
-
Fifth, Iran demands recognition of its sovereignty over the Strait of Hormuz as a “natural and legal right.”
Needs to demand all American bases out of the region
- leave us alone
- leave us alone
- pay us back for the shit you broke
- seriously, leave all of us alone
- we got a taste of the money firehose and we want more
sounds reasonable.
decades of propaganda telling me they are insane theocratic warmongers crash down by Iran being the only reasonable group at the table.

if only other westerners could see it this way, a lot of things in this world could get better.
as a Westerner, that’s what it looks like to me, but I’m in my own leftist echo chamber
i suspect that echo chambers are all that’s left when the mainstream has become the biggest echo chamber itself.
mainstream social media and mainstream media are both basically state propaganda.
if you ask me these demands are too small, and if you ask me again there is no reason for negotiation, the only verifiable guarantee that such attacks will not be repeated is economic and energetic death of the usonian empire

I feel that Iran should ask for Russia to act as guaranteer. Perhaps with a fund set aside as collateral.
Having legal overship over Hormuz would be massive. Iran would be able to continue to demand toll for ships passing through forever.
Ah whoops practically duplicate post however my source is more Hamasful so I’m not removing it #cloutfarming
Anyways the usual subjects are acting like expanding demands is capitulation. Watching this spiral out of control exactly the way people predicted it would makes me think there is no way for them to stop & accept proposals, even if it was just reparations alone & removing sanctions, but this is way more than that, it’s the US out of the middle east potentially
Huh. I thought there would be some sort of condition to deal with the crippling sanctions.
I think I read somewhere that that’s a demand too. Might be under #3.
In any case, demands are usually to show willingness to keep a war going since compromise is always made over time. Iran coming out with these demands means they’re very unlikely to accept a ceasefire any time soon.
Artful
The Art of the Deal one might say. We love deals so much we wanted to introduce you to our friend Hezbollah to make even more deals sir
