When eating Ethiopian food, you get some kind of stew served on top of a large flat injera bread. You’re supposed to scoop the stew and eat it with the bread. But what do you do when you are out of bread and have more stew left? Just eat it with your hand?
“Give a man injera and you feed him for a day. Teach a man to make injera and you feed him for a lifetime.”
This was my solution with naan/roti at least. I wish I had African food available near me.
order more!
Genuinely this – most Ethiopian restaurants will just give you more for free
But what if you’re out of stew then? Eat plain injera?
Normally you get extra bread rolled up and served with it too, in my experience. I suppose you can ask for more, or just use a spoon.
I did not get extra bread or cutlery, but next time I’ll ask, thanks
Four naan, Jeremy?
Four naans!? Four? That’s insane.
