I personally don’t care and I presume most other Vancouverites don’t care about the partisan squabbling between the 3 ‘left’ parties. Hopefully they can co-ordinate to achieve cross-sectionality between their desires.
Look at the candidates fielded by COPE and OneCity (edit: in the 2025 byelection). Sean’s just a guy whose experience captures the typical life of people who aren’t affluent in Vancouver. Lucy’s background in safe street design and environmental policy could have totally had her on as a Green candidate just as well as OneCity. The label, aside from “Not ABC” doesn’t really matter. We just need candidates with a strong and promising vision to reverse the stupid governance of Ken Sim (i.e. the start with a 0% tax increase then figure out the budget method).
