Personally I think a paper trail of agency should count, but legally it probably doesn’t.
(As a nobody) In this case I would have counted this as agency as they specifically reached out to you asking you to confirm your name for them to sign it for you. But that doesn’t mean a bank would accept it.
If “President” trump signs my name on my “tariff check”, wouldn’t that be check fraud?
