    It was straight up murder. She was driving away and he continued to fire even as she was passing him, meaning the “danger” (which there wasn’t in the first place) was past him.

      Courts very likely recognize that a vehicle remains a lethal threat until it is clearly no longer capable of striking the officer — but that clarity often doesn’t exist in fractions of a second. Courts warn against “shot-by-shot hindsight parsing”. Thus. Self defense very likely still stand.
